HISTORY

Viña Fundación de Mendoza started as a dream. In the early 1970s, a great winemaking project in the province of Mendoza was unable to surmount the economic turmoil of the decade, so that project was abandoned to dereliction, like a ghost mining town whose mine has been depleted. Right there, at the east boundary of the historical Inca nation, the original winemaking hub was later re-established with a clear objective: to interact with the community and lead it to make the best wines in a context of continuing communal progress. That is Viña Fundación de Mendoza’s reason d’être.
